A Story of Colour, Culture, and Couture
Feel it.
Fabric born in the Himalaya. Tailored in London.
In 2018, deep in the heart of Kathmandu, I found something that changed the direction of my life, not a melody, but a fabric.
I was there with my band, The Cash Cows. We’ve played everywhere from muddy fields to five-star hotels, always dressed in suits that turned heads. Our first? Purple velvet from Bahrain. But nothing ever hit like what I stumbled on in a chaotic, beautiful Nepali market: a bolt of fabric so alive with colour, gold, and energy it practically hummed.
It was Dhaka, a handwoven textile unique to Nepal. Worn for generations, now harder and harder to find in its purest form. That only made it more magical.

I had some suits made. I wore them to festivals, weddings, gigs, anywhere a good time was happening. At 6pm or 6am, under strobe lights or sunrise, it always looked incredible. People constantly asked: “Where can I get that suit?”
The idea was born – The Kathmandu Suit Company.
In 2023, I went back to Kathmandu with my wife, Alice (co-founder of the fashion label Humphries and Begg), on a mission to source more fabric. It wasn’t easy.
The markets were a riot of colour, but the right dhaka was elusive. Then we met Prajwal Ojha, whose family had been weaving dhaka for generations. We climbed through piles of vintage patterns in his factory and pulled out a handful of designs that just felt right.
A mini collection came to life. But production in Nepal proved challenging, inconsistent quality and impossible logistics. So I paused. Then, in the middle of another mad year, I woke from a dream knowing:
It’s time. Time to do it properly.
I called Prazial with a refined brief. I reached out to an exceptional Savile Row-level atelier in London. Suddenly it all clicked: rare, heritage fabrics woven in Kathmandu, tailored to perfection in London.
The result is something I’m deeply proud of, a collection of suits that fuse tradition with razor-sharp style. They’re bold. They’re limited. And they carry a story you can feel when you wear them.
Each piece will be made in small batches. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. This is just the beginning.
